Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) has gotten herself into quite the predicament.

Marvel’s six-episode series Ironheart concluded Tuesday with an action-packed second half that saw Riri strike a deal with the devil himself. That’s right. Mephisto has officially entered the MCU, played by none other than Sacha Baron Cohen (which Deadline predicted nearly three years ago).

EXCLUSIVE: Viola Davis (Fences, The Woman King) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen, Aquaman) are set to star and produce in a reimagining of the 1987 MGM feature film House of Games, which is in development at Amazon MGM Studios. The actors will produce through their respective production banners, Davis for Juvee Productions alongside Julius Tennon and Melanie Clark, and Abdul-Mateen II for House Eleven10.

EXCLUSIVE: Dominic Colón has signed with M88 for representation.

Colón is a writer and actor from the Bronx, New York, whose television pilot Papi, made The Blacklist’s inaugural Latinx TV List. As one of the top three finalists, he received a blind pilot deal at Hulu. He has had projects in development at Hulu, ABC & UTV and is a 2024 WGAE Showrunner Training Academy graduate.

Gemma Chan is the latest series regular to join “The Five-Star Weekend” TV series at Peacock, Variety has learned.

Chan will star alongside previously announced cast members Jennifer Garner, Regina Hall, and Chloë Sevigny. The series is based on the Elin Hilderbrand novel of the same name.

EXCLUSIVE: M88 has signed actor Michael Cooper Jr. for representation.

Michael Cooper Jr. recently starred in the hit Netflix series Forever. From creator Mara Brock Akil,  the series is a reimagining of Judy Blume’s influential and controversial 1975 novel of the same name. The series explores an epic love story of two black teens discovering their identities through the awkward journey of being each other’s firsts.

Past projects include the lead role in Sanaa Lathan’s feature for Paramount Pictures, On The Come Up which had its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto Film Festival. Additionally, he starred Odessa A’zion, Dermot Mulroney and Leslie Bibb in the horror feature, The Inhabitant.

The first live-action series set in the Creed franchise, Delphi will take place at the titular boxing gym and focus on the young athletes who populate the ring. Though no other details were immediately available, Marco Ramírez (La Máquina) will serve as showrunner as well as executive producer.

Across three films, the Creed franchise has grossed more than $660 million at the worldwide box office and grown its haul with every release. 2023 installment Creed III took in $276 million.

EXCLUSIVE: Colton Dunn (The Recruit), Hayley Magnus (Loot), and Andrew Lopez (Platonic) are new additions to the cast of Judgment Day, writer-director Nicholas Stoller’s new comedy for Amazon MGM Studios, starring Will Ferrell and Zac Efron.

Character details are under wraps. The news comes just ahead of Amazon’s annual upfront presentation.

EXCLUSIVE: M88 has signed director, playwright, TV writer, and performer Radha Blank for representation.

Blank’s first feature film, The Forty-Year-Old Version, was one of the most acclaimed debuts of 2020. Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, where Blank was awarded the U.S. Dramatic Directing Award and Vanguard Award, the semi-autobiographical project sees her star as Radha, a once-promising playwright, who is now approaching 40 and feeling stuck, both in her career and her personal life. Facing the indignities of the theater world and gentrification, she tries to reclaim her creative voice by exploring hip-hop under the moniker RadhaMUSPrime.

Damson Idris will star in period romance Miles & Juliette with Anamaria Vartolomei, with Idris playing Miles Davis and Vartolomei portraying Juliette Gréco.

Love & Mercy director Bill Pohlad will direct the project from a screenplay by Zora Howard. Mick Jagger will produce via his Jagged Films banner along with Victoria Pearman and Pohlad via his River Road Entertainment banner (Brokeback Mountain) alongside Kim Roth (Mudbound).

Xavier Dolan will also star along with Idris and Vartolomei.

EXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios we hear has dated Michael B. Jordan‘s reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair for March 5, 2027. The movie will also be shown in Imax.

The news comes as Jordan is on a wild ride at the box office, with original period vampire movie Sinners getting a rare A CinemaScore and banking $77.5 million domestic. The Ryan Coogler-directed movie is bound for a second robust weekend.

As we first told you, Jordan stars and produces Thomas Crown Affair through his Outlier Society, alongside Taylor Russell. The previous movies focused on a rich playboy who steals art. In the 1968 Steve McQueen original that co-starred Faye Dunaway, he’s matching his wits against an insurance investigator, while in the 1999 Pierce Brosnan version, the protag meets his match in a detective played by Rene Russo. Plot details on Jordan’s version are under wraps.
